New Member Checklist


(If all paperwork and fees are completed and paid, the installation process can take 3-5 Business days to complete) Fees will be paid through NAR website 

  1. RLD: Real Estate Commission proof of Licensing Attach in email or bring copy into CPAR office
  2. Your Qualifying broker submits the Designated REALTOR® Declaration every time there is a change within their office. (If you have ever had an NRDS# it will stay the same) please use on application and forms.
  3. CPAR Membership Application will be emailed to you once step 1 & 2 are completed
  4.  The Board of directors will formally accept or deny your (probationary status) application at the next board of directors meeting. You are welcome to attend.
  5. Receive NRDS # and password
  6. To become a Member in GOOD STANDING) Current NAR members must have a letter of good standing from your current board if you are a member elsewhere.
  7. Join NM MLS: Paragon Access (Not Required) If you want to be part of the NM MLS you must be a realtor member
    • Contact NM MLS AE: Megan McFarlane admin@nmmls.net
    • Pay MLS Fees (Payable to NM MLS)
      • Dues renewal due by: July 1 each year
  8. Sign-up for RPR, REALTOR.com, Zillow,  Homesnap, and Trulia (advertising at an additional expense is not required)
    • RPR & Homesnap have apps with broker details and showing instructions and information from the MLS.
  9. SentriLock: For lockbox access [DO NOT SHARE APP OR ACCESS]
    • CPAR will get you set up with Sentrilock (fees included in CPAR dues)
      • SentriKey app in android or apple store
        • Download phone app… ask about log-in information should look something like > cpar-(your NRDS#)
      • Lock Box user agreement must be signed (in CPAR office)
      • NM-MLS boxes are on a separate system and have to be purchased. (Not required)
  10. NAR/CPAR New member orientation is required within 60 days
  11. NM MLS member orientation
  12. New member Ethics training is required within 60 days (FREE through NAR.realtor)
  13. Application is presented to the Directors for membership approval
  14. Make sure your information gets in the member directory, that you are receiving updates and that your contact information is on the website (Password in CPAR office)
  15. Join a committee
  16. Download the Real Safe Agent App and click the registration link through paragon
  17. Like our Facebook page
  18. Join the CPAR members only Facebook group
  19. Take a look at CPAR-NM.com
  20. Sign-up and attend the next quarterly meeting to be sworn in and participate in the pinning ceremony to receive your REALTOR(R) pin and certificate

RLD: New Mexico Regulation and Licensing Department; Real Estate Commission requires this class to be taken in the first year. New Broker Basics #11020061 – 30 hours of class time with 10 hours of CE Credit.

Broker Office transfer check list:

(If all paperwork and fees are completed and paid, the instillation process can take 3-5 Business days to complete)

  1. RLD: Real Estate Commission proof of Licensing Attach in email or bring copy into CPAR office
  2. Your Qualifying broker submits the REALOR declaration every time there is a change within their office
  3. NMAR Member (Drop/Change/Transfer) CLICK HERE
  4. Fill out the RANM application form: (blue RANM header)
    • Section A: Applicant Information
    • Section B: Office Information (Office currently registered with)
    • Section C: Membership information
    • Section D: Change/Transfer information (New Office information)
  5. New members or transfers will need to complete NMAR form listed above and return it to the CPAR office or email them to cpar.realtors@gmail.com
  6. Sentrilock Transfer (through CPAR) – all lockboxes are assigned to broker not the brokerage or the QB
  7. Transfer information with the NM MLS: Paragon Access (Not Required) If you want to be part of the NM MLS you must be a realtor member

      • Fill out EXHIBIT A:
        • NM MLS Fee Schedule Fill out
      • EXHIBIT B:
        • Office Team User List form Fill out
      • EXHIBIT C:
        • User Agreement REVIEW THE TERMS, FILL OUT THESE FORMS AND HAVE YOUR BROKER SIGN 11,12,15,16 return to Megan at the NM MLS
    • Sign-up for RPR, REALTOR.com, Zillow,  Homesnap,  and Trulia (advertising at an additional expense is not required)
      • RPR & Homesnap have apps with broker details and showing instructions and information from the MLS.
    • Pay MLS Fees (Payable to NM MLS)
      • One time New Member Fee  (see exhibit A to confirm)
      • Dues renewal due by: July 1 each year
    • Paragon shortcut: ranm.paragonrels.com and Paragon Mobile http://ranm.mobile.paragonrels.com
  8. Make sure your information gets in the member directory, that you are receiving updates and that your contact information is on the website (Password in CPAR office) [simple-payment id=”1457″]

  3. Take a look at CPAR-NM.com at the Member Directory >> Company name, office phone number as registered with the Real Estate Commission, and the office website.

    New Office Fee

    This fee is charged to any qualifying broker opening a new office within the association $500.00 New Office Fee +$15.00 convenience fee
